Terms of Service
Last updated 3 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Practicence for your use of the Practicence website and service. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy and the Refunds & cancellation policy.
1. About us
Practicence is an online practice service for students preparing for competitive entrance exams. Practicence is a sole proprietorship based in India. You can reach us at support@practicence.com.
2. What we offer
- Chapter-wise practice questions for JEE Main in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, each with a worked solution. JEE Advanced and NEET are planned and are not available yet.
- Your practice history, a Practice Rating, Progress pages that show how you are doing by subject, difficulty and topic, suggestions for what to practise next, and leaderboards.
- Practicence Pro, an assistant that helps you use Practicence (section 8).
Practice questions come from a fixed, curated collection of practice questions. Practicence Pro does not create questions; it helps you find and use the ones in the collection.
3. Your account
- You need an account to use Practicence. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or with Google.
- An account is for one person. Don't share it, or the codes we send you, with anyone.
- You choose your exam (JEE or NEET) when you create your account, and it stays the same for that account. A JEE account includes JEE Main now and JEE Advanced once it opens.
- Please give your real name. You can change it in Account.
- When you create your account, you tell us whether you are 18 or older. Please answer honestly.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your email address or Google account secure.
4. If you are under 18
- If you are under 18, you may use Practicence only if a parent or guardian knows you use it and has read and agreed to these terms and the Privacy Policy for you. You confirm this when you create your account.
- A subscription for an account of a student under 18 must be paid for, or agreed to, by a parent or guardian. This is confirmed before payment.
- For students under 18, leaderboards are off unless the student chooses to appear, and Practicence Pro does not use AI-written replies.
- We rely on what you tell us: we don't verify age or identity. If we learn that an account belongs to a student under 18 without a parent's or guardian's agreement, we may pause it until a parent or guardian contacts us. A parent or guardian can contact us at any time about a student's account, including to close it.
5. Subscriptions and automatic renewal
- Practicence is offered as a paid subscription; there is no free plan. Each plan, its price and its period are shown on the Plans page before you subscribe. Every plan gives the same access.
- Every plan renews automatically. You pay for the first period when you subscribe. At the end of each period, the same plan renews for the same length of time, at the price then in force, and is charged to the payment method you used — until you cancel.
- If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 15 days before the new price applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
- Payments are taken by a payment service provider. Depending on your payment method, your bank or payment app may also tell you before an automatic charge.
- Paid plans are not on sale yet. While Practicence is in its current preview, access is given only to invited accounts, and no payment can be made.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time yourself in Account → Subscription → “Cancel subscription”. Cancelling stops the next renewal, so you won't be charged again. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered in Refunds & cancellation.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, the payment service may try again. Your access pauses when your paid period ends and continues once a payment goes through. If no payment goes through, the subscription ends. You can also cancel instead.
8. Practicence Pro
- Practicence Pro helps you use Practicence in your own words, in English, Hindi or Hinglish. It can find questions that match what you ask for, start a practice set, explain your Practice Rating and Progress, point out the topics where your accuracy is lowest, suggest what to practise next, and take you to the right page.
- Some of its replies may be written with the help of an external AI service; these are available only to students who have told us they are 18 or older. AI-written replies can sometimes be wrong or incomplete, so please check anything important. Practicence Pro is a study aid, not a substitute for your own judgement or your teachers' advice.
- Replies that use AI are limited each week, as shown on the Plans page and in Practicence Pro.
- Please don't use Practicence Pro for anything unrelated to your practice, or try to make it do something it isn't meant to do.
9. Practice Rating and leaderboards
- Your Practice Rating is a Practicence measure of your practice. It starts at 1000 and goes up when you answer a question correctly on your first try, by more for harder questions. It is not an exam rank, a percentile or a prediction of your exam result, and it is not recognised by any exam authority.
- Leaderboards show the top students for each exam to other signed-in students of that exam. They show only a shortened form of your first name (for example, “A***a”) and your rating. You appear on them once you have answered 50 rated questions, unless you turn this off in Account → Leaderboard privacy; you can switch it back on at any time. Students under 18 start with this turned off.
10. Using the content
- Practicence's website and software, its design, its name and logo, and the way its collection of practice questions is selected, organised and presented belong to Practicence. The questions, solutions and other study material are made available to you only for your own personal study while you have access.
- You must not copy, download in bulk, scrape or otherwise extract content with scripts or other automated tools; reproduce, publish, share, sell or redistribute questions, solutions or substantial parts of the content; or use the content to build a competing collection of questions, database or service.
- We work hard to make every question, answer and solution correct. If you find a mistake, please tell us.
11. Fair use
When you use Practicence, you must not:
- share your account, or use someone else's;
- try to get access you haven't paid for, or get around subscription limits or the weekly limit on AI replies;
- use stolen or unauthorised payment details, or misuse payments, refunds or chargebacks;
- attack, overload or probe Practicence, try to reach parts of the service or data you aren't allowed to, or interfere with other users; or
- break the law while using Practicence.
12. Suspending or closing accounts
If an account seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms — for example, by sharing the account, scraping or copying content, or misusing payments — we may suspend or close it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond first. If we close an account for such a breach, its access ends and the remaining paid period is not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.
If we close your account, or stop offering Practicence, for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of your current paid period.
You can stop using Practicence at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
13. Changes to the service and these terms
We may improve or change Practicence. We try to keep it available at all times but can't promise that it will never be interrupted. If we make an important change to these terms, we will tell you before it applies.
14. Our responsibility to you
Practicence is a practice tool. We can't guarantee any exam result, and decisions about your preparation are your own. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Practicence is limited to the amount you paid for your current subscription period.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, that cannot be limited or excluded, or any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Any dispute will be decided by the courts or consumer forums in India that have jurisdiction under the law. Nothing in these terms affects your right to approach a consumer commission or any other forum available to you by law.
