Privacy Policy

What Practicence collects about you, why, who else handles it, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. Practicence is a sole proprietorship based in India.
Information you give us
- Account: your email address, your first name and (if you give it) last name, the exam you choose, whether you are 18 or older, and — if you are under 18 — when you confirmed that a parent or guardian has agreed.
- Your answers and requests: the answers you submit, and what you ask Practicence Pro (see “Practicence Pro” below for what is kept).
- Messages to us: anything you send to our support address.
Information created when you use Practicence
- Practice: the questions you answer, whether each answer was right, when you answered, and which solutions you opened.
- Results we calculate: your Practice Rating and its history, solved counts, accuracy by subject, difficulty and topic, the topics we suggest you practise, and your leaderboard position.
- Account activity: how and when you signed in (email code or Google), which days you used Practicence, and when you were last active.
- Subscription: your plan, its status and dates, cancellations, and for each payment its amount, result, period and the payment service's reference.
- Practicence Pro usage: a record that you sent a message, whether it used an AI reply, and how many AI replies you have left this week. For a message answered with AI, we also record the size and cost of the AI request.
Technical information
- Visits: which pages are opened (the page address, never a search or anything you typed), the kind of device, browser and operating system, and the approximate country and state, worked out from your network (IP) address. To count visitors, we turn your network address and browser details into a code that changes every day, so visits can't be linked from one day to the next; we don't store the network address itself with these records.
- Security and error logs: our hosting and sign-in providers keep technical logs — such as network addresses, device and browser details and the time of each request or sign-in — to keep Practicence secure and working. When something goes wrong, we record the page and a short description of the error.
- Cookies: we use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and visitor counting uses no cookie.
We don't collect your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or advertising identifiers.
Information from others
- Google: if you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and basic profile details with us.
- Payment service: when payments are open, the payment service tells us whether each payment succeeded and gives us its reference. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
How we use it
- To create and run your account and sign you in.
- To provide practice: questions, answers, solutions and your practice history.
- To calculate your Practice Rating and Progress, suggest what to practise next and run leaderboards.
- To provide Practicence Pro.
- To run subscriptions and payments, and to handle cancellations, refund requests and support messages.
- To send you the emails needed to use Practicence, such as sign-in codes.
- To keep Practicence secure, prevent misuse and fraud, and fix problems.
- To understand, in aggregate, how Practicence is used, so we can make it more reliable and useful.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don't sell your personal data, we don't show advertising, and we don't use your data for advertising.
Practicence Pro
Many of Practicence Pro's replies are produced by Practicence itself. For students who have told us they are 18 or older, some may be written with the help of an external AI service provider; students under 18 never get AI-written replies. When AI is used, your message is sent to that provider, together with the practice details needed to answer it — for example, your rating and your accuracy by subject and topic. We don't add your name or email address. The provider uses this to write the reply. Its terms say it does not use these requests to improve its products, and that it keeps them for a limited time (currently 55 days) to detect misuse; it may process them outside India.
We don't keep the text of your messages or a history of your conversations. For general questions that don't involve your own practice data, we may keep the AI reply — not linked to you — so the same question can be answered again without another AI request. AI-written replies can sometimes be wrong, so please check anything important.
Who can see your information
- Other students: only what leaderboards show — a shortened form of your first name (for example, “A***a”) and your rating — and only to signed-in students of the same exam, once you have answered 50 rated questions. You can turn this off in Account → Leaderboard privacy.
- Service providers who run Practicence for us: hosting and infrastructure, database and sign-in, and email delivery providers. They handle your information to provide their services to us.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google, and an AI service provider for Practicence Pro, as described above.
- A payment service provider, which takes and processes payments when paid plans are on sale. It handles your payment details under its own terms and legal obligations.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users or Practicence.
- A new owner, if Practicence is sold or transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
Where your information is processed
Your information is processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate.
How long we keep it
- Your account, practice history and results: for as long as you have an account.
- Detailed records of visits and error details: 90 days. After that, only totals that identify no one are kept.
- Payment and subscription records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted, and longer if needed to resolve a dispute or a chargeback.
- Security logs kept by our providers: for limited periods, as needed to keep Practicence secure.
Deleting your account
To delete your account, email support@practicence.com from the email address you use to sign in. We complete deletion within 30 days of confirming the request. When we delete it, your account, profile, practice history, results and leaderboard entry are deleted. We keep only what the law requires or what we need for a legitimate reason, such as payment records for accounting, and records that no longer identify you, such as visit totals.
Your choices and requests
- Change your name, and choose whether you appear on leaderboards, in Account.
- Ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask a question about this policy, or make a complaint: email support@practicence.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the account's owner before acting on it.
- We aim to resolve complaints within 2 business days.
Students under 18
- When an account is created, the student tells us whether they are 18 or older. A student under 18 must confirm that a parent or guardian knows they use Practicence and has read and agreed to this policy and the Terms of Service for them; we record when this was confirmed. Before an under-18 account subscribes, it is confirmed that a parent or guardian is paying or has agreed to the payment.
- We rely on these confirmations; we don't verify age or identity.
- For students under 18: leaderboards are off unless the student chooses to appear, and Practicence Pro never sends their messages to an AI service.
- We use students' information only to provide Practicence as described here. We don't show advertising, we don't sell data, and we don't use anyone's data for advertising.
- A parent or guardian can contact us at support@practicence.com about a student's account, including to see the information we hold or to ask for it to be deleted.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change. If we make an important change, we will tell you before it applies. See also the Terms of Service.
